Bringing you images of the Cosmos
01/14
Paducah Skies Observatory is located SW of Paducah, TX in dark skies away from the light pollution of the larger cities of North and Northwest Texas. This allows taking images free of gradients and light pollution with deeper detail. The site is considered at the high end of the Bortle scale, a measure of sky darkness. It is high Bortle 2; Bortle 1 is for the darkest skies on earth.
Premium telescopes and specialized cooled astronomy cameras are used to take astrophotographs. A telescope is mounted on a German equatorial mount (moves the scope at the same rate of the rotation of the earth). A separate guidescope with its own camera is placed on top of the telescope to make guiding on an object more accurate to allow exposures up to 10 minutrs each.
This is the telescope I use for wide field shots like the Rosette and Eagle Nebulas
If you want more details about the images for sale or to see all of the images I have taken for the last 15 years please visit my Pbase account below. Only the images on this site are for sale.

IF YOU PURCHASE MULTIPLE PRODUCTS - PLEASE CONTACT ME AND I WILL SEE IF THERE CAN BE ANY DISCOUNT - SHIPPING COSTS FOR EACH PRODUCT ASSUME ONLY ONE ITEM TO BE SHIPPED AND IT WILL BE MULTIPLIED BY THE NUMBER ORDERED - MULTIPLE PRINTS ONLY OR MULTIPLE PRINTS WITH MATS MAY ONLY BE A SMALL AMOUNT MORE TO SHIP THAN ONE PRINT (DEPENDING ON HOW MANY). SHIPPING FOR MULTIPLE FRAMED ITEMS OR METAL PRINTS MAY NOT BE DISCOUNTED AS MUCH. IF ANY DISCOUNT IS APPROVED IT WILL BE ADJUSTED BY A REFUND.
